B I O G R A P H Y

After his introduction and joining to The Seekers of Tales Maple set to work improving existing structures and drafting designs for new features. He got on with the clan's interior designer Farilain and it wasn't long before the two were a couple. Maple is skilled in design and ensuring that his structures and soundly constructed, but fit the theme of his new flight. Originally hailing from Lightning Flight he struggled with a lot of the electrician work and metalworking prevalent there and found Wind to be open and accepting to him and his skills. He has personally re-designed and constructed every common area, larder, storage room, den, dining area, kitchen, and bathing area in the clan and can seem to be a bit obsessive over maintaining the theme of the lair as well as catering to some of the individual needs and traits of the long-term residents of the clan. Pemma and Turtle can't help but feel as though their workspaces are constantly under renovation as the needs of the clan change and as new pieces of technology are discovered.

When there isn't a major project to work on he can frequently be found whittling toys as well as little odds and ends to decorate a space or entertain hatchlings. Farilain has no shortage of these small requests and the two of them complement one another's work styles and design choices quite well.

Maple loves taking time to fly and hike new and old trails either on his own or with a group to search for new stock for projects or to help his wife find what she is looking for with his keen nose. He is at his happiest when he can walk with a ready supply of berries in a thick woodland. Nuka, Jellywader, Greydown, and Sundrop are his most common helpers for transporting lumber back to the lair for further refinement and treatment. He delights in being able to find lightweight woods to bring to Sioned to use for framing for her larger kite projects and is generally a pleasant and calm dragon. He can get a little distracted and sometimes doesn't realize how long he has been out when he is hiking, but an easy solution the clan has found is to ration the number of berries he can bring with him since he is quick to return when he notices he's run out.

He tends not to join the clan when it is time for tales but emerges easily for music to socialize and work his whittling and relax. He keeps a journal of his projects, their status of completion and his overall thoughts about each build and what to change so he doesn't forget and can be regularly found consulting the clan archives when it nears his anniversary and clan birthdays. Lemondrop has tried making him a calendar, but he soon forgot to change the months. When Farilain noticed she started changing them for him, but he usually forgets to check it anyway. So they leave him to do what he is used to.

He has little memory of being possessed by the Shade and was easily restrained and aided by the rest of the flight as he is not a fighter by any means.
