{ A E G I N } ___________________”I want to give others a life I could never have had.”

At the highest peaks of a lush mountain, you stumble upon a small but cozy living place. There are old but no less beautiful lights hung on walls, and sweet-smelling food in the air. It looks and feels old, like one of the few places of the Island untouched by time, forever remaining in the past.

Still, it is habited, as you see when a Fae flies out from a room and lands before you. You have never seen this Fae before, but you know she is old, like the autumn-coloured Fae that everyone respects.

“A visitor?” she questions. “…well, I don’t see most of you nowadays, though if you plan on staying, I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful time here.”

“Who are you?” you ask, to the Fae with wings of the sky.

The Fae tilts her head, and gives you a smile. It is bright, like the stars that dot her wings, and yet you can’t help but think that it has not always been like this. Perhaps the smile was true, once upon a time; and it still is now, but it is intertwined with emotions more than you can comprehend with just a simple smile.

“Call me Aegin!” she says cheerfully. “It’s nice to meet you!”

One of the first two dragons created by the Island, Aegin is known to be a studious and caring Fae, although she tends to stay out of the public eye nowadays, preferring to tend to animals and help out in the background, leaving most of the diplomacy to Lifter.

Despite her public persona and the assumptions of how she is like, a secret not known to many but only to her closest is that Aegin hasn’t really been who she used to be. After an incident that she refuses to speak about, and one that only she and the Island knows, she’s a little… sadder. A little more melancholic. Lifter is worried for her, but for the most part, she seems to be doing alright, though more preferring to stick to herself these days.

She is welcoming to visitors and newcomers of the Island, should they ever stumble upon her abode, and loves to hear stories of how the outside world is like. She also dotes on her friends’ children, along with any young hatchling or dragon. Most would think of her as easy, but don’t be fooled by the kindness she holds; like most of the Island, she can fight back if necessary, and believe the dead: you don’t want to be on her bad side.
