- the son of admiral ives blackamare, the illegitimate black son of virulent, and lady cosette of virulent
- born around a year after his aunt lailuma's entry into society
- raised like an actual member of light society, and not held back as to not compete with his aunt, as his sisters were
- his parent's status let him run with the snootiest of heirs and heiresses, even if he was a younger son and of an illegitimate branch at that
- . . . does take that personally. despite being related to one of the most powerful dragons alive, the illegitimate taint still haunts him
- while not as hot-tempered as his brother, he has a definite mean-streak
- that bully tendency that sometimes crops up in ives's kids
- slowly gets dragons worked up either for his fun or because he's trying to make them slopp
- sometimes literally bc he winds up dueling a concerning amount (frequently acting as his brother's second when he gets in trouble, which is constantly)
- built like a brickhouse
- like unexpectedly stacked
- one of those 9' 'yeah I'm a tundra' blackamares
- he slouches
- when he showed interest in card games, his great grandma set him up with all her old card shark friends to make sure he didn't embarass them
- Got Good
- costs the most in upkeep allowance on paper, but actually brings in a profit
- always has at least five dragons who owe him money or property at any time
- doing wonders for virulent's hippogriff breeding program because he keeps winning 'griffs and then just handing them over to the clan because he doesn't need more than a few for himself
- likes getting treated as the workshop's special little guy for everything he's done
- sort of indifferent on mounts himself (if it doesn't kill you or itself during a ride, it's good enough for him), really only cares for them as much as riding on a hunt or betting on a race
- still gets sucked into events because all the horsegirls think he's Into them too
- while he was def not encouraged to hang out with the murder squad, he does hang out with tergalia often
- they go to all the same parties
- in fact, it was tergalia that introduced him to the joys of the informal romps of highborn lordlings
- they bring out each others arrogance streak
