Biography
The Greaser
Kingsley.
Just one look at him, and that’ll tell you everything you need to know. Black spats, black birdskull, black sash, black spines running down his black backside. Dark. Suave. Total bad boy. He even pierced his wings. That’s pretty intense.
Most dragons are surprised to hear the Kingsley was born to the Windsinger. To them, the Windsinger is fun and bright and green, with smoke billowing gently around him, and the constant flapping of a thousand little dragon wings and kites sounding in his wake. Dragons born to the Windsinger shouldn’t be black and spiny. Kingsley can’t even fly that well.
Even though he’s slick and dark like the Shadowbinder herself, he just can’t leave the land of his birth. His shadowy smoothness stands out even more on the Windswept Plateau, where bright greens and oranges fill in the landscape. The bright kites make him seem even more dark and suave in contrast.
See, the thing about Kingsley is: No matter how cool he tries to look, there’s some small part of him that can’t hide his inner goody two-shoes. That’s probably why he’ll never make the journey over to the Tangled Wood, where so many think he belong. Underneath the slick black spats and the dark, intimidating spines, he’s still the dragon that rescued a dying wolf puppy during a rainstorm, and nursed her back to health. She’s now his familiar and constant companion. He’s still the dragon who’ll rescue lost baby dragons and give directions to lost ones, and always share his meals with those in the lair who don’t get enough to eat.
But, he likes the bad-boy look; the way people see him when he dresses all in black. So, he polishes his spats daily, and looks the part of the bad boy. But really? He’s a softie at heart.
