______ Audra’s parents attempt to smuggle her egg away had been foiled by a lengthy visit from her grandfather. He’d expressed concern, or what passed for such with him, and insisted Audra’s mother rest with him in the hatchery. He was terribly worried after all, and Helena had never been able to deny him.

______ Audra hatched snarling and that set the tone for her personality. She’s best characterized as fierce, stubborn, and determined. She has strong and independent survivalist instincts due to her tense upbringing and is good at thinking outside the box. She’s proven herself to be one of the strongest fighters in her grandfather’s court. In combat, her unrelenting style of intimidation, strength, and brute force coupled with blistering ice spells earns her victory in most battles. This is what has allowed her to mostly retain custody of her pearl. Konongur is curious how far Audra may develop and doesn’t yet want her as mentally frail as her mother and grandmother. Audra is well aware of this. It’s her biggest fear and motivation and has left her resentful toward her family members. She’s aware of what they did for most of her siblings. When her own hatchlings were born, one was ferried away but the other she kept. Determined that despite the unfairness of it, someday her grandfather would fall, and they would need strong warriors to maintain the peace of the kingdom. She tells herself that it is only loyalty to her kingdom tat keeps her there but she does deeply love her family, even the grandfather she’s so frightened of.
