Circinus

Circinus, an Astral from the planet of Astre, a volcanic planet with one liveable city. The Astrals focus on knowledge and live mostly peaceful lives. They make weapons but they haven’t had need for them in centuries, instead they trade them with travellers for knowledge. The weapons are made from materials from asteroids and the volcanic matter. Guns will need to recharge but swords remain durable and will not require much maintenance.
Most Astrals have no desire to travel to other worlds and will remain home. Some others will travel, however they cannot go where they please. They must only visit worlds they are allowed to visit. No human worlds are allowed as humans are easily startled, as the Astrals have seen over the centuries. They have surveyed other species’ wars and intergalactic issues for knowledge purposes. They wish to make contact but the stars deem it is not the right time yet.
They use stars to guide their paths and each Astrals’ role among their peers. No Astral is “born” a child. There are no children among Astrals. They are given life and given a path. They can choose to deviate from that path later in their lives.
They commune when a leader needs to be chosen. These communes often last days. A leader is chosen from the oldest and smartest, the one with the most knowledge will often be picked.

Circinus is the current leader but he has a curiosity of visiting other worlds, especially ones he is not allowed to visit. He will go with his sister. Circinus has become forgetful in his old age, forgetting the name of small things, which his sister, Pyxis will quickly remind him of the word to use.
