Say salutations to ArenAmberwing, who shook out of his stoneshape & leapt into the land full of life on this Thursday night in June at 11:32 pm who is the clan's very first Obelisk & also the clan's (something to do with Role)! :D ^^)

On June 16th, in the year of the realm in Sornieth known as 2021, a Nocturne dragon name Velya lead her team of dragons into a cave system and unearthed something they didn't expect. From that day forth, a new breed entered the land and it became known as Obelisk Day, being so named & given the moniker after the same species that was discovered & unleashed upon the realm. Some were confused as to why they were there, and couldn't tell the inhabitants of what the newly-discovered dragons had to warn the pre-existing dragons in the land above about, but Aren was different. He remembered. He remembered everything. And when he and other full-blooded Obelisks joined clans around the realm, the other dragons took note of their form and began to wonder.. why did it look like this new breed was the result of a dragon who had bred with a lion? For there was no disputing it--the luscious fur flowing around their heads and streaming off their limbs & tails, not to mention the giant forepaws with fleshy pads underneath viscous, nasty claws, could only bring to mind images of the big cats who roamed the savannahs of Sornieth, especially when you took in the sight of their children and offspring the dragons eventually produced. But yet, they had no fur on their hides save for the manes, and formidable webbed wings came from their sides and a mighty crown of horns rested atop their heads, with mighty feet that sported nasty daggers, surely this could've only come from a dragon? As the rumors spread, Aren found himself looking to the skies, and saw a blank spot among the constellations where a familiar face should've been looking down from among the sky. For he knew the truth and where they had come from, and what the threat was.. He gulped, for it was not an emptiness he was happy to see, and he knew it meant that when it was filled again with the constellation that truly belonged there, she would only bring destruction, and seeing her there meant their doom was imminent......
For everyone was right. Indeed, a dragon and a lion had bred, and these were their children. Earthshaker had reached the heavens, searching for answers for ways to keep his beloved children in the realm below free from The Shade who sought to return to Sornieth again one day and claim it for their own & ravage everything his children had built.... While he was there, he saw all of the constellations and learned that not all of the scholars were correct in their genders of them..for a beautiful lioness approached and he learned she represented Leo, but she was in no way in the masculine form that was so often represented of the formation. Her true name was Odessa, and they became instantly infatuated, and she promised to tell him every secret of the Gods of the Universe if he promised her one night. Hoping that some of those secrets would be the key to saving the realm of Sornieth from The Shade, he agreed, and a love-filled night ensued shortly thereafter. Keeping to her bargain, Odessa revealed everything, but the more Earthshaker learned, the more he became dismayed for none of it sounded like anything useful. In fact, he realized she & the other constellations had never even heard of The Shade before, so he also came to the conclusion that they couldn't help him. At that, he left, in search of others who could give him answers, for Odessa had spoken of other Gods, so he went to seek for them..
But when he left, he didn't realize what he had left in his wake for Odessa soon found what had become of their time together, and chased him down. She was enraged he was leaving, feeling as though he was leaving her, and now their child, and turned into a terrible raging monster. Seeing Earthshaker had an obligation to protect now, he took the child from her and used his powers to send her far away in the universe so she would be delayed in coming to attack him, if she retaliated, which he feared she would. He returned to Sornieth and then hid away deep under the earth where he raised the child as his own and formed the being who was merely only an essence when it entered the universe. For Gods and ethereal beings had different ways of breeding & gestation than that of normal biological entities, and when it would happen, it was nearly instantaneous when a new spirit was created and brought forth to the universe. And that was where Earthshaker found himself now as he held the wisp that was the combination of his & Odessa's spirits. He recalled the night as the wisps flowed around his claws as he created the shape of his new child, and images of her played in his mind as he fleshed out the entity, and gave it a body.. When he was finished, he was startled at how much he had included her likeness in its shape as it blinked up at him and the curly mane fell about its shoulders. Wings flapped from behind its shoulders and prominent horns poked out from above its eyes, which were a brown to match his, so he hadn't made the child totally like Odessa, but he still smiled sweetly at the similarities. He noticed extra tendrils of the essence were still floating around the one child, so he realized he could make more, and so he did, creating their children that he called the Obelisks..
And beneath the land of Sornieth they stayed, under their Father's watchful eye, while he taught them about the realm above that they might one day join, and the threat that might come.. Aren was among them, as was his brother, Mirth, among many of his other brethren. They were confused at their father's words at first when they emerged from formation, but soon learned of his intentions as he taught them. Shortly around the same time, a white Nocturne & her excavation team were digging in the area, and they drew close to their cavern. One thing Aren didn't know was why Father called her 'The Returned', but from the vision that swirled about in his mind, he could see she and her team were important to the great deity. "PROTECT HER AND THE REST OF OUR FAMILY--YOUR SIBLINGS" Earthshaker commanded them, before a swirling mist rose up about him. Aren focused on him as he felt a sense of urgency rising from his Father. "PLEASE, MY CHILDREN. PROTECT OUR FAMILY. I MUST GO. THIS THREAT MUST BE FOUND." His voice said, booming around the cavern. Aren felt another wave of confusion rising from his siblings, but he knew what he was going to do. He was going to find Her..before She could find them, and lay waste to their beloved Father's realm and the home of their siblings who made their livelihood on the surface....
Earthshaker turned to the first child he had made and called him by his name and gave him his final true shape that could move instead of being one with the ground before disappearing into the mist a moment later. The dragon, who was Mirth, shook, and the stones that encased him and clung to his hide like skin fell away, revealing a vivid hide beneath. Aren blinked, wondering if he himself was capable of such a thing, and found he had limbs that were locked inside of this encompassing stoneshape, and began to twist about, longing to break free. He never knew he could be free, but suddenly realizing that a fellow Obelisk had done something new, he wanted to try as well. But before he could writhe any more, suddenly, a handful of dragons burst into their home through the ceiling when the ground gave way, and Mirth stepped forward to greet them. But since the rest had caught on, they were all anxious to be freed like Mirth had, and took to the shaking and twisting until they all shattered their stoneshapes and returned with Velya and her team to the surface....
But even as the Obelisks made their introduction into the realm, some still carried with them the grave news of what was to come, Aren being among them..For Earthshaker might've meant Velya when he said 'The Returned', but ArenAmberwing felt the ominous title was better fitting to the one who had been partially responsible for giving him & the rest of his kin life........

The current Familiar of this dragon, McCallister the Bouncy Broiler, was part of a mass clan Awakening that took place on December 31st, 2022, and Awakened to their true potential on that day! :D

Role in the clan:
(something to do with whatever kind of job it is that people have who deal with broilers/furnaces/heaters/ventilation systems/internal central heating & air systems & etc--that's what he does & helps out with, courtesy of discovering said skill after Bouncy Broiler began to follow him around everywhere so he began tinkering with it since it was broken at first & stumbled upon his calling, now he fixes things like that around the lair)
