Hailing from a city with too many dragons than resources, Rocky had to grow up competing with others for the bare necessities, let alone the right to luxuries. Yet, she always found a way to paint. She’d doodle in the dirt, smash flowers onto canvas. In her mind, there was always a way. Eventually, the competition for food and space grew too much. She spent nights restless on the ground, stomach empty. The urge to live outgrew her urge to create and she fought. She fought for her meals, she fought for her life. But it was still too much, too much competition.
Rocky left. She flew and flew, avoiding all other dragons, too paranoid and tired to deal with them. She ended up camping in a small forest, recuperating from near starvation and fighting. One day, a group of dragons confronted her. Out of instinct... she attacked. And she lost, 4-1. After they apprehended her, they took her back to their camp. Rocky stayed there for a few days, recovering from her wounds and being drilled by the head trainer to make sure she wasn’t some crazy spy, they let her roam free around the commune. A couple of days before she had to leave, sulking around camp, she ended up teaching a hatchling how to paint. And it felt... right. Rocky had forgotten her passion. But she wanted to stay where she remembered it. Thus, she stayed with the commune as their budding muralist.
