Biography

Ghetsis with dragon wings & tail. Art by me.
^art by me :)

Ghechis_N2B2.gif

I'm collecting Ghetsis dragons. All dragons (with the exception of my one 6 digit) must be gen 1, male, and unbred, with Ice or Plague element preferred. Ice is the most wanted for obvious kyurem reasons, plague is good for the eye colour (though it gets covered by the monocle anyway). Fire and lightning are also fine as they represent reshiram/zekrom respectively. Though if I find a gen 1 with the absolute perfect colours, I won't complain if it is of the wrong element. I'd also like to train them all to level 25 at some point (a few are in progress right now lol).

Speaking of colours, I'm not too strict with what specific colours these dragons should have. I feel I can create a good Ghetsis dragon with lots of different combinations. However, getting good colours for a bw1 Ghetsis dragon will be harder than getting good colours for a bw2 Ghetsis dragon because there are considerably more combinations.

I'm trying to get at least one of each breed (I would love to flex with a gen 1 imp Ghetsis dragon, but realistically that won't happen, so I will do a breeding project eventually). Preferably I would like to have two, each representing the bw1 and bw2 designs. However, I may end up with a lot of skydancers and bogsneaks as their smug vibes are perfect....

If I were rich, I'd buy a suitable gen 2 imp and then scatter for Ghetsis colours. Unfortunately, I am not rich,

^spoken like a fool who did not expect a pure gen 2 male plague imp with perfect Ghetsis colours to be hatched:

My most expensive dragon ever by far. Now for a pure gen 2 bw1 Ghetsis imp?

While Midnight Cape is the best cape item for these dragons, Dark Harvest Robe is also really good, especially for dragons without a yellow/gold tertiary. River Royalist Cuffs, Spiffy Cane, and Fancy Monocle are pretty much required on each dragon (my wallet weeps). Also yes I'm giving all of them Rose Sweetheart Bouquet. Because I can

(unfinished dragons are listed once their scries are decided on, and could change at any time if a more suitable dragon is found)

Dragon bio version is broken at the moment. I.e. I accidentally replaced the new code with the old code because I thought the old code was the new code

If I were to breed for an imp, I think I would try for something like either of these:
Yeah

#2056847

Obsidian/Peridot/Banana or Black/Peridot/Banana

Both obs and black can work depending on the primary gene I want. I've chosen clown and ribbon for these scries, but things like jaguar can work too. I want a primary gene that best resembles the pattern on his cloak.

Peridot is one of the lightest greens on the colour wheel, but it's too dark for the mane/fur colour. Current is chosen for the secondary gene as it changes the mane back to the original light peridot colour. There are better secondary genes that I would choose, such as eye spots, but I value the mane colour quite highly. I haven't yet found any other colour/gene combinations that get the mane to the right sort of colour, aside from pear hex.

Banana is the perfect underbelly colour imo. I've chosen glimmer in the scries because the golden horns look nice, but the black or grey horns that come with obsidian and black look pretty nice too. Also, I like how on imps with underbelly or glimmer, the scales(?) colour on the arms and legs changes, which looks similar to the arm rings(??) that Ghetsis wears.

Ice element is chosen because 1) I am ice flight so it is infinitely easier to breed, 2) the eye colour is changed anyway due to the wearing of a monocle, and 3) it's the element that's most related to him. Second choice of element would be plague simply for the red eyes.

I also have a scry specifically for a veilspun with bright primary. Eligible primaries for a dragon like this are: obsidian, black, charcoal, shale, grey, silver. Obs or black are preferred, but other colours can work due to being sort of greyish rather than colourful. Peridot saturn is pretty much required because of how it changes the hair colour. Dark coloured okapi is chosen rather than a yellow underbelly because I think it looks better with dark arms, but either is fine. Alternatively, for extra funkiness, perhaps a green coloured angler would be cool. Or maybe dark coloured mop to (sort of??) represent his cloak (????)

After waiting for a suitable dragon on the ah, I finally found this one who has black range primary, green secondary, and black range tertiary. Lead primary isn't perfect and neither is green secondary (peridot was particularly wanted, but I'll take what I can get. If I find a better dragon, I can always just make another Ghetsis veilspun. More Ghetsis is always better), but eldritch tertiary is actually excellent in more ways than one. Originally I was going to use okapi as I had in my original concept scry, but I found that eldritch mop gives him extra green streaks in his hair. Which is amazing

Also, for a bw1 version, lapis mop makes it both yellow and blue at the same time (sanddollar does this but with a lighter, wrong colour blue)

Undertides have released! Here's my first thought for a perfect undertide.
Alternatively, the prim and sec can be switched, plus the tert colour doesn't have to be exact.

Ok so. For aethers I think I have to have them all plague element because the eyes are so big (Alternatively, fire rare, or at a stretch, arcane goat). Since they are moths I have to have the secondary be eye spots (I currently have too few dragons with eye spots and it is a crime since that’s basically his irl gene (not irl but you get what I mean)). That means charcoal, coal, or black for his secondary since I think they work the best (but honestly I didn’t check that many colours yet). Tertiary has to be green, preferably a light green like peridot, with mandibles or stinger. For the primary I honestly don’t know. I won’t be too picky (these are gen 1s after all!) as long as I get Ghetsis vibes from it. I wouldn’t mind something similar to the fae I have with grey primary/secondary and green tert. I did see how it would look if I regened it, unfortunately it doesn’t quite fit.

Sandsurges are here! Writing Ghetsis sandsurge findings here.

For BW2:
Crest would be good if it weren't for the accent colours. Peridot crest gets blue/purple accents unfortunately. Leaf crest works the best, as the accent colours are a darker green. Fern, seafoam, and pistachio crest kinda work too I guess.
Beard is very fluffy and cute. Peridot is the right colour for this, but most greens will do in a pinch.
Fishbone is cool and spiky. Use with yellow colours i suppose, but not ideal.
Peacock is INCREDIBLE on sandsurges and great for Ghetsis dragons. Recommended in a red colour or with a red accent colour.
Runes is a niche option for changing the horns colour. Good if you have a non-green secondary, but is it better in this regard than just using beard?
Shark adds a tiny little spike on the top of the head. Looks way better on an xyy but that's not happening lol. Also i think there are better options.
Spectre is a phenomenal gene. Obsessed with it. Use with green range tert, ice coloured tert, or BLACK RANGE TERT!!!? VERY COOL
Underbelly. Classic. Nice and easy. Use with yellow range tert
Augment looks like a nice tert saver imo. You may judge me now, but just you wait until they make cyborg Ghetsis in the next pokemon games

oh yeah

Something I thought up.

Aberration writings specifically for bw1 because i am a little unhappy with the one i have (would need a uma to work for me...)

Blue primary w/ yellow kumo or yellow primary w/ blue kumo

Accent: bling redux this accent is quite Ghetsislike
