Biography
He/They
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
Eden.
Paradise. A place from the olden tales, of joy and peace, where nobody is ever harmed. Where the soil is rich and the grass is lush, where water flows cold and plentiful.
His form was fashioned by the Earthshaker himself, molded and shaped into a perfect protector, a bringer of hope.
First, their body—chunks of golden ore, smelling of the earth from whence it came. Swirled with the rich soil from the Earthshaker's domain, fashioned like clay into the body of a child, and moistened with a splash of water—water that had once held stars, water from high aboveground where the night sky glittered and danced. These stars remained now, a distant memory of light.
Next, their mane. No gold now—such a material would make for a tough mane rather than a silky, voluminous one. The Earthshaker used mud from beside that very same star-studded stream, unaware that it, too, glittered with starlight. The curls of his mane were fashioned painstakingly by the Earthshaker's very talons, each whorl made perfectly to cascade down the child's chest, so that he may stand proud against foes.
His eyes were made of two perfect, glittering gems. Their talons were sharpened to razors, so that he may cut down enemies of Sornieth with bold strokes. Glimmering horns of gold were shaped to protrude from their skull. And, at last... the child was complete.
The Earthshaker moved on to the next obelisk statue, placing this gentle child alongside the others.
