"Protect our family" This statement kept repeating in Courage's mind as his stoneshape shattered and he emerged with the other Obelisks. Many other dragons were in that cavern, watching them, but one dragon in particular caught his eye. She seemed to notice his gaze and smiled, waving a wing at him. He blinked, looking to the other for cues as to what to do. Some were still where they had emerged, others were beginning to mingle with the crowd that was slowly pushing forward. The dragon that had waved at him (a Banescale, he thought) immediately flew over to him. "hello! i hope this all isn't too overwhelming. i guess i was lucky when i hatched that it was just us banescale there. i must say, this is still quite exciting, don't you think?" Courage nods, the words of the Earthshaker still repeating in his head. "Are you alone?" "oh no, fiennes is-" she starts to reply, then stops as she looks around. "fiennes?" In an instant, he suddenly knew who Fiennes was, and where he was. Without a word he suddenly leapt through the crowd, running down several tunnels with the Banescale flying behind him. It's not too late, he thought as he could still sense the Fae nearby. At last he came upon what he was looking for: a shadow. The Obelisk slammed into it, then used his nature magic to cause vines to grow all over it, trying to rip it open. The shadow thing shrieked, and suddenly Courage saw whatever was inside of it slice the shadow open and tumble out. The vines receded and the shadow took off. Courage was surprised to see a fellow Obelisk shaking himself off, as he had been following a fae. A few questions confirmed that this was the dragon they were looking for, and Courage helped him return to the surface. Sioras has plenty of questions for Fiennes, but then turned to Courage. "you must come to our clan, you clearly belong with us!" She exclaimed, and Fiennes agreed. Beaming with pride for helping out the two dragons he had just met and now being offered a home, Courage went with the two dragons towards shadow territory.

After leaving Dustcarve, Courage joined the clan and now helps out Fausta with security and keeping the clan safe. When off duty he can be found talking to Fiennes or Sioras.
