Melchior started his career as a spice trader, exchanging his mothers herbs for gold and gems, but he soon became interested in objects with otherworldly or magical properties and started to trade in ancient and valuable artifacts instead. After one struck him with a particularly nasty curse, he was possessed by the greedy ghost of a king, and now refuses to rest until he has a whole hoard’s worth of those precious relics all to himself. In his possession, he has no qualms with committing any number of crimes to get what he wants, including breaking into tombs or killing their owners.
