Uh-oh, looks like this fearless atheist wandered a little too far from his home lair (570686, LabyrinthianLost), and now he's off to see the world! Despite the whimsical and often magical tales Valoran grew up with, he kept his mind firmly cynical. He saw no use in putting stock into supernatural powers or the whims of a god. What he wanted he would get with his own two hands, and what he wished to see he would witness with his own two eyes. Though his sister, Alyxandra, argued with him about this viewpoint, they grew to share a goal; to leave Cragenmire Cavern and explore the world beyond.

Valoran thought that their parents might stop them, but instead they encouraged the two. Valoran heeded Author's words of caution well, knowing that trusting the wrong dragons or lacking in knowledge could get him seriously hurt or even killed. Despite that, he knew he had to go. This was his chance to prove that there were no higher beings pulling the strings, even though most of dragonkind seemed under the impression that there were. Though some may call him a heretic or lost soul, he wouldn't stray from this path. His story was waiting to be written.

Mere days after starting his travels, he ran into a dragon in a specific kind of trouble. From what little he could gather, something bothered her, but he didn't get to hear the full story for they were together for a mere afternoon.
He, on the other hand, didn't mind sharing his motives for this journey, but upon inquiring about her own attitude towards religions of Sornieth and the likes, there was no answer.

While she didn't frighten him, her aloofness and bewilderment as well as supposed lack of knowledge of the world around her made him question what exactly happened with her. And then there was the scratching which seemed to happen while she was absent-minded. After a short while, he started wondering if she suffered a head trauma or ended up in a state of shock for some reason. Of course, one could argue she was under the influence of some "other otherwordly aspects" like being under a spell, but he was first to dismiss such suggestions with a flick of his tail. There was no proof for foul magical game, and he'll stick to it until proven otherwise.

By the late afternoon he did what little he could; taking her to the spring to cool off after sitting in the scorching heat and wishing her all the best. He even added something about "finding someone to pray for her" after a short moment of musing. The words rolled over with a bitter taste of something rotten you accidentally tried to eat, but he knew full well how some dragons might find peace in believing in something greater than them. He witnessed it often enough.
