"Do you think that, eventually, everything will be alright somehow...? I hope so.." ___________________________________________✧✧ When it rains, it pours. This saying had held true for poor Joelle ever since he was a child. Chased from his home and losing his parents when he was still young, the little crow was taught to fear his fullblooded brethren early on. Always keeping his eyes everywhere and sticking to the road least travelled, this cycle was only broken when he met the crow who would become his best friend down the line, Solace. The young rustwing took him by surprise with her unconditional kindness and willingness to help and look out for him, and with some effort, he found it in himself to trust her despite it all. Now, the two are nigh-inseperable, travelling the world together and working to find their place in it. She has been a blessing for his confidence, but even with her company, he remains rather softspoken and meek, and shies away from confrontation where he can, be it physical or merely verbal. code by milkchai |

The day he met his best friend started out with him huddling under an overhang to escape a downpour. Tired and still in shock from the recent events that sent him running out on his own, he had not noticed the crow that approached his little hideaway and was caught off-guard by the stranger. His initial fright wore off not too long after, though, as she proved herself to be a kind individual, lending him an ear and sharing her food with him as they waited out the awful weather. It wasn't easy to solidify this trust considering his past experiences. But Solace poured herself into it and with how furiously she protected him when they ended up being found by the very crows that razed his village, she soon made herself at home in his heart as a close and trusted friend he felt he could rely on. ___________________________________________✧✧ |
