______ Glace hatched on a cold yet sunny day on Reclaimer's Glacier. From hatching he was fascinated with the world around him and how it was structured. He would spend hours looking at snowflakes as they fell, analyzing their shapes and patterns. When it wouldn't snow, he watched water freeze on the sea, or anywhere, letting crystals form. The scholars, amused by his enthusiasm, told him there was math and science to explain more deeply how these things happen and why, and this made him eager and infatuated with studying math, geometry, and science. Eventually he stopped studying science beyond a point and emphasized himself on math. Fractals thrilled him, trigonometry fascinated him, and crystals brought it all together like a bow on a gift.

______ Once he grew up, he was encouraged by his family to go out and see the world, to decide where he wanted to be and what he wanted to do with his life. At first he was hesitant, since it would mean leaving behind his beloved snow, but he eventually relented. He traveled far and wide, stopping often at clan libraries to rea any books they had on math and fractals. He read on crystals from within the earth, light refracting through lenses, and bit by bit he learned how all the elements of Sornieth intertwined, and there was more to the world than just Ice.

______ It was then he realized an obvious fact that has evaded him all this time. As an Ice dragon, he could make ice whenever he pleased! All he needed was water to freeze. So he decided to travel and settle in the first water clan he came across. He was welcomed, so long as he didn't wreak havoc while freezing water; after all, this was their home. After a while where he'd had time to demonstrate his prowess and loyalty, he was offered a position as the clan's diplomat for the Ice flight. He accepted, so long as he could continue his research.
