  • Ruse’s younger brother, born from her adoptive parents (one was a Lesser Eboncrow, the other normal)
  • greatly admired his elder sister prior to her awakening. Although they were the closest amongst their siblings, he still treated her with a little distance out of respect for her station
  • even though he was shocked by her awakening and the chaos that followed, he didn’t hesitate to aid in her escape from the Rookery and fled alongside her. They’ve been inseparable since.
  • After Ruse succumbed to her wounds and fell unconscious in the Tangled Wood, he watched over her frantically, fending off hungry predators and trying his best to tend to her
  • He despaired as her condition worsened and begged any deity listening to save her…and someone responded
  • The creature that responded proposed a pact to grant his wish; his lineage in exchange for his sister's life
  • Only after a tearful reunion with his now conscious sister did Vulx realize he’d just made a deal with a Fae. An Unseelie Fae.
  • It soon became apparent that the Fae, now known to be named Puck, had no intention of leaving him alone and cheerily declared he would be tagging along with them for the foreseeable future.
  • At first he was wary and a bit annoyed with how the Fae was being a bad influence on Ruse, but seeing how happy and free she seemed to be away from the restrictions of the Rookery he decided that perhaps the Fae wasn’t such a bad influence after all.
  • Neither of them expected to grow to care for one another, and eventually become life partners. In a way, their pact was fulfilled, just not how they expected it to be.
