Biography

Primary mate: Dagga

Separated from his birth parents at a couple of days old, Saramune was found by a mixed travelling band of Pearlcatchers and Snappers near the Thorndark Alter. A Pearlcatcher pair within the band- Maisie and Brux- decided to adopt the little male Coatl as their own; naming him 'Saramune'. As the young male grew, so too did strange patches of a hard, cloudy glass-like substance that had begun to form all over his body at the age of two weeks. The caravan's resident witchdoctor- a female Arcane-aligned Snapper named Dorian- reasoned that the reflective nature of the glass-like substance was an attempt by the Shadow-aligned hatchling's body to adapt to the Shattered Plain of Dragonhome, where the band spent most of their time.

At the age of two weeks, Saramune was already starting to grasp the art of scavenging for trinkets, thanks to Brux's excellent teaching and patience. One day after a fun game of 'Find It', Maisie came back from one of her outings with a gift; a young Wasteland Collector cub who- according to the female Pearlcatcher- had been left alone for quite some time- as evident by her dull fur and the ribs and hips that appeared to jut out painfully from tight, stretched skin. As soon as the cub saw the Coatl, it staggered over to the young male's side, curled up, and promptly went to sleep. Maisie smiled warmly and gave responsibility of the cub to her adopted son, with the promise that he would take care of it and treat it well.

At three weeks old, Saramune and his familiar- since named 'Waiura'- had started to form a strong bond. Sadly, tragedy struck one day when a particularly bad storm within the Charged Barrens of the Shifting Expanse forced the caravan of thirty-eight Dragons apart. Once again, Saramune was alone in the world.

With the company of his tolerant Familiar, the young, lost, scared, and confused hatchling made his way east; until he eventually found himself in the lands of the Tidelord. Though, he didn't stay there for long. While the locals of the Tsunami Flats were nice and the food was good, he didn't much care for the feeling of sand between his digits and under his scales and so, he kept on trekking north until he reached the lands of the Lightweaver. Drawn in by the constant good weather and warmth from the seemingly ever-shining sun, the Coatl and his familiar set off to explore this new territory.

Eventually, he was found by a curious, quiet female Spiral who later introduced herself as Birdwatcher. After talking for a bit and accepting some leftover snacks that the female Spiral had packed for a birdwatching excursion, the Coatl and his familiar decided to follow Birdwatcher back to Norwal.

Upon entering the town, Saramune was immediately smitten. He watched in awe as Skydancers and Spirals performed aerial acrobatics while Tundras, Guardians, and Imperials played various instruments as the rest of the residents sang and danced in the streets in celebration though for what, the young male didn't know. Whatever this celebration was for, it looked fun and the excited hatchling rushed in to join the festivities; cementing his spot as a permanent Norwal resident.

He will sometimes sell any particularly odd things that he finds to Aloadae and the two have developed a close friendship. He met his future mate Dagga when he needed to have some scavenged instruments restored back to selling condition. While Saramune himself doesn't really partake in the Sunstoke Settlement culture, he can see why other Dragons may enjoy it.
