A little bit insane


Unlike other Nyktophoses, Kieran was after light magic from the start. He was always fascinated by the Sunbeam Ruins and was even compared to light dragons due to his pastel lavender eyes, which were unlike the dark mysterious purple of his peers. It took him a long time to figure out how the Nyktophos phenomenon worked, as down in Murkbarrow Close he didn't have access to a vast library that would mention such a niche mutation. He went through the portals a thousand and three times, he counted them. It took him a month and a lot of trial and error, as the mutation process seemed to reverse if he let some time pass between each portal jump.

When he emerged from the Sunportal, the skin on his belly had been burned, and as he painfully peeled it off, bright soft tissue had replaced his scales. Despite the pain, Kieran couldn't help but do a victory dance, then and there, not caring who would see him or what they would think. Years of work and countless hours of being fried between the Sunportal and the Moonportal have finally paid off. Warlock could finally use light magic!
