Daffodil experiences Locked-In Syndrome as a result of the damage to her brain, and is completely paralysed apart from her eyes. To deal with it, the Technicians of RBC have managed to construct a device made out of a helmet connected to a set of wires, which use Daffodil's brain waves to express on a screen attached to her right side the words "yes" and "no". They are working on helping her express more words. The Technicians are also using this chance to improve their own skills. This device is also responsible for helping Daffodil breathe and monitor her basic body functions.

Apart from that, Daffodil is also able to use a deck of Fortune Teller cards to express certain opinions and thoughts. It is also very limited and extremely cryptic to those not used in deciphering Daffodil's cards, but they are at least a wider range than the helmet. These Fortune Teller cards are also incapable of telling the future, only Daffodil's thoughts.

Daffodil wears a special, enchanted bracelet. No one knows of its origins, though Clarity suggests that it may be created by another divine being. The bracelet grants her resistance towards any magic that she hasn't consciously consented towards being used on her. Not complete immunity, though, just resistance. Daffodil is someone who is thankful for what she has. Instead of being anger for her paralysis, she is happy and thankful due to the fact that she has a complete and working brain, and that she can still sort of communicate even to non-HoRE dragons. And of course, she can communicate fluently with HoRE dragons.

Daffodil is incredibly talkative. She was very excited to be able to speak to others properly for the first time in her memory.

Daffodil is very confident in her own capabilities, and will not stand to be called useless. Defiant of all odds, she has high hopes for what she can manage to do in the future. She may not be able to help now, but one day, she will!
Daffodil remembers nothing about life before being assimilated. Perhaps she had a good family, perhaps she didn't. In any case, the moment she was assimilated, life changed.

Due to the enchanted bracelet that Daffodil owns, the assimilation only took place partly. Instead of being a regular Drone, Daffodil became Defective, and hints of her original green scales showed from below the white carapace.

Not only that, but the assimilation process failed to completely affect Daffodil's brain, which caused a ton of neural damage to her as a result. This caused Daffodil to fall into a complete faint. Her brain was as good as dead.

Horrified, the Consciousness realised that Daffodil was useless now and ordered the Drones to toss Daffodil out into the wild. And there Daffodil went. She would perhaps have died, if not for the travelling RBC happening upon her body.

Evelyn anxiously sent Daffodil's body to the Hive of Rising Eagles, where a few dragons converged. Emeralda, the top technician, and Alanii, a skilled healer, were there. It didn't take long for Alanii to explain that a miracle was basically needed, and that was when the group decided to call in Clarity.

Surprisingly, Daffodil's bracelet came into effect when Clarity tried to help. Instead of fixing her conditions entirely, Daffodil's brain recovered, but the neural damage remained. She was now completely paralysed apart from her eyes, but she was conscious.

After that, Katarya succeeded in connecting Daffodil to the Hive of Rising Eagles's wavelength. Daffodil was able to communicate in that way, and chatted everyone's ears off while Emeralda got herself a new project.

While Emeralda worked on the project, Seer handed Daffodil a set of tarot cards to help her communicate. Needless to say, Daffodil fell in love and didn't stop using them even when Emeralda implemented the headset. She was surprisingly content in her new state despite how horrible it was to everyone else.

Clarity--Grateful You saved me. You helped me to know who I am, you helped myself become...well, me. Even though the spell didn't work out completely, I'm glad that you managed this much.

Rebirth is a Basalt Eruption who kind of got attached to Daffodil upon seeing her. Both of them are living a new life after living one without freedom, and really, that was probably why they're so close to each other. The two of them are very intuitive of each other even if they can't see each other.
