*the event:
Quote:
Lita traversed the lands in her crazed state, not seeing the change of scenery, but as she was, she didn't need eyes. Relying on her other heightened senses, she moved around pretty well. Despite feeling no hunger, she still slaughtered any small animal she ran into; mice, birds, some inesects. The mere smell of blood fueled her rage further.

By sheer luck did she not run into any other dragon, at least not those close enough to the ground for her to reach, but her strange appearance did not go by unnoticed; the few dragons that saw her from high above alerted their home clans, some even realizing or being told by the elders that it is the sign of Shade corruption. Soon enough, words of a strange, sick dragon started spreading through the world of Sornieth. Unfortunately, the emissaries and diplomats of one Wind clan didn't reach their homeland in time to spread the news. This time, the news were faster.

The guards noticed a dragon approaching from the distance, and started warning Lita to simply pass them in peace, for this clan didn't accept travelers anymore. But, Lita's strange behavior, her blind charge without stopping, the lack of response, and by the time she closed the distance between them, the Shade seeping out of the scars over her body made them uneasy. Actually, by the time they saw the scars, they were more than uneasy, they were scared out of their minds, for they already suffered more than one Shade panic. Letting this... creature inside would mean one thing - death of everyone.

Their shouting alerted everyone behind, every dragon lazing around the plain, those guarding their nests in the shade of reeds, those hunting in the air, elderly, young. Everyone stopped for a moment in disbelief of what they're hearing before running, hiding deep in the reed-covered cliffs, rushing down to the canyons where they could hide in numerous crevices and caves or flying up in the air. Again, eggs were abandoned for Lita to release her rage on the innocent, but before that could happen, the leader's guards stepped in.

The fierceness with which Lita charged at them, and the mere lack of anything resembling fear caught them off guard, but they were many, and she was one. In the end, after a short battle filled with yelps, sounds of jaws snapping, blood spraying and weapons flying through the air, they emerged victorious, despite not feeling so. Lita had to back off, overpowered, bearing more wounds that didn't bleed but let Shade seep out, as if that was all that flowed underneath her skin. Unbothered by the new openings but still realizing she was overpowered, she let out a screech like something never heard before and ran away, towards the surrounding cliffs.

Almost all of the Clan was spared miraculously, be by hiding or by the bravery with which their defenders fought. Still, Lita's legacy was visible, as one guardian died from the wounds inflicted, and another was mere moments away from passing. Those wounded were temporarily isolated from the rest of the clan, for fear of being infected, and the two dead bodies were sealed in a cave, for the effects of dying from the Shade were still little known.

As for Lita, she kept on going, reaching the bottom of the canyon. This is where true tragedy struck, one the clan would find out about only hours later.
As always, at the bottom was Alec, clan's witch doctor (considered more of a lunatic than a doctor these days), and his faithful apprentice, a female Ridgeback by the strange name of Gravedance. The two spent most of their time examining the rocks, small animal bones and whatever else they could find here, and were taking their time slowly returning back to their Clan. Alec was just in the middle of explaining something to Gravedance, hissing constantly as he spoke, when the sound of small rocks rolling down the cliff caught their attention.

And there was Lita, mid-jump and landing straight on them, knocking Alec down. She followed his scent all the way from the top of the cliffs and couldn't wait to engage in another fight. The numerous bones and pearls he wore rattled as the two fell to the ground, shattering the smaller pieces covering his arms and legs and exposing them to Lita's merciless claws. "Alec!", yelled Grave before rushing over and pushing Lita off her mentor. She found it amazing that Lita, being a rather small Mirror and surprisingly light and thin, held such energy and fought back with stunning force. But the Shade that seeped out of her still opened wounds frightened Grave, despite not understanding what it was. And there was the way it acted as if it was alive, swirling and attaching itself to Grave's arms, as a tentacle would.

"SHADESSSS... It'ssss corupted dragonsss!", Alec yelled out, but Grave was already pulled closer to Lita, who bit the poor Ridgeback, sending small waves of Shade into the open gash. As the strange Coatl rushed to help his friend, Lita was already rushing to find new victims. Something in her deteriorated body screamed in delight, as if what she just did was the right thing, and she must continue doing so.
