Uh-oh, looks like this infected Ridgie wandered a little too far from her home lair (Strukla, #90706), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here, or to the hub if you don't want another dragon in return. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

 Drawn by DragonDraws "I told you already, there's no point in making this a search for the cure when there is none!", she replied, obviously annoyed. Yet there was no way she could be angry at Senta, the girl was just too... Kind-looking. Albeit a bit dense. "Well, maybe. But maybe not! This world is huge, and there are so many things-" The yellow Tundra was cut off mid-sentence by Carolina's nervous huff. "The world is huge, and that's why I'm going with you. If you're gonna look for your family, you need someone to protect you. There are Beastclans roaming and not every clan we might visit will be friendly. But no wasting time looking for something that doesn't exist! I'm perfectly fine with reconnecting you with others but give up on this "cure" thing. There. Is. None." Adding to it in a quieter tone: "I just hope you'll reach someone before I dissapear." There was nothing more to say, nothing more to disagree upon. Senta knew her friend seemed harsh but was actually right so she just nodded silently. "I'll meet you here in the evening. My things will be packed and we can go then." The Ridgeback nodded back. Suddenly, the sound of flapping wings broke the silence. As they looked up, a particular familiar hovered above them, flapping slowly to keep himself airborne. "You can't leave without me, Carol. You two both need a guide through the land, and who's better fit for that role than me?" There was a certain pride in his speech. Another deep sigh as the girl covered in blue crystals rubbed her forehead with her clawed finger. "ALRIGHT, alright... You're coming too, Evans, else we'll never hear the last of it." The winged familiar addressed as Evans grinned. "Excellent choice, my dear Carol. Senta, we'll meet you at the designated time." Senta smiled back at the familiar and nodded once again. "Glad to have you with us, Evans." Evans grinned back at her. "The pleasure's all mine. Right, Carol?" Carolina just grunted in annoyance.

"Psst! Hey, uh, Ridgeback!" hissed a dragon. "I won't hurt you. Promise." Out of the shadows stepped a Guardian dragon, peridot eyes shimmering in the moonlight. "You're coming in a little too close to the Clan, and Chrysoberyl only wants dragons she can put to work. In that condition, I'm not sure if she'll want you... no offense, of course! I-I mean," he sighed. "I wish you could feel better, but I'm okay with having a dragon with your condition in the clan. It's just... our leader might not. I'm her brother." He started to trod off, motioning for Carolina to join. "Don't worry. You can see Senta any time you want, just... not in broad daylight. I'm Mickey," smiled the Guardian. "Chrysoberyl's brother. Maybe one of our alchemists could help brew a potion to cure the apatite?"
As Senta searched high and low through the Clan, Carolina camped outside, hunting and scavenging for food, and Senta's mother, though the latter eluded her still. Mickey checked on her every night, and even brought a few friends sometimes-- a Skydancer and a Pearlcatcher were also frequenters. But one day, Senta hurriedly woke up Carolina. "Chrysoberyl," she huffed quickly. "She's onto us."
So the two left, traveling up the Reedcleft Ascent once more.

Carolina and Senta talked with the locals for most of the first day, going on about different topics, including the dreaded topic about Carolina's condition. Quite a few other dragons in the clan have the same condition as her and even comfort her about it with stories of their own struggles. After talking for a while, Carolina seems less worried about her condition and more focused on their travels.
The two friends end up staying longer than intended, Carolina even nesting with Leonus, one of the twins; but after the eggs hatch, Carolina and Senta pack their things and leave, back onto their original adventure of finding Senta's mother.
