S P E A R
will find love once again, will stay free spirited

She was holding the best of her in the palm of her paw without even knowing it. Spear would never admit all the admiration and love she held for the, in her eyes, loveliest tundra around. So the two remained friends, Spear being the loud, fun-loving one, and Sioris calmly taking all the world threw at her. One couldn't find two dragons more opposite of each other.

Though impossible to feel heartbroken at the sight of Sioris leaving the lair, she could only blame herself for not addressing her feelings to her. After all, it would be weird to, considering they were both girls... Right?
Nobody does that.

Sioris returned once, twice, three times. She came back with stories, experiences, items of clothing and exotic foods. And that last time, she came back with a companion. Everyone made a big deal out of it; was he her mate? A lifelong one? Or perhaps just a friend? Maybe even some kind of family?

Spear wanted to know none of it. For her it was more than obvious he was the one Sioris chose to mate with, but hearing it loud and clear would hurt too much. So she chose to avoid them both at all cost, and thus letting herself fade out of Sioris' life, slowly but surely.

The fourth return never came. Most presumed the two found a life outside the Wind borders.
Then one day, a courier flew over the border and rushed over to the leader.
The news were devastating as Sioris' new nomadic family got trapped in The Abiding Boneyard. One by one they fell from starvation and exhaustion until the few remaining were picked off one by one by the wild Mirror packs guarding the area.

No amount of Light's Breaths could help Spear, for she felt like she'd never recover.

They managed to retrieve their remains; bloodied bones and tufts of fur, some personal items.
Their final resting place deep in the caves of the Reedcleft Ascent, hidden by thick bamboo stalks and forever listening to the song of the wind.

Spear left the Clan soon after. She promised herself to return when she grows enough to comfortably say it out loud; "She was the one I loved the most. And I was too dumb to know she loved me back."
For hidden in Sioris' bag was a letter, incospicious enough to return to Spear along Sioris' bones.


Goodbye, beautiful girl. I'll let the world know all about you and how you were the best for me.
