Miriama

Profession: Entertainer / Fighter

Miriama lives in the Scarred Wasteland, specifically the Hellwell Undercroft. Within the Undercroft, dragon fighting is a popular entertainment and Miriama is a fighter in one of the most famous arenas. She’s an alright fighter - she’s better than the average Joe but wouldn’t fare well against a properly trained warrior. However, she does know how to put on a good show. Whenever Miriama is fighting, the audience can expect a lot of glamour and cool stunts. Not to mention, she uses her ice magic to spice up the stage and make things interesting. Plus, she’s charismatic and pretty, so various dragons show up just to see her, which ups the sales and thus makes the arena managers like her.

Miriama likes the job - she gets paid quite well, being a main attraction, and she enjoys the attention. She plays to the crowds, purposefully flirting with and charming the audience. She portrays the stereotypical ice culture as part of her image: cold, elegant, serious yet charming, formal… It builds her image a bit more and makes the plague dragons find her more interesting, and since she’s so obviously a foreigner she may as well use that to her advantage.

Her main pull to the job was desperately wanting to leave ice, and she happened to end up in the plague lands, and found arenas looking for fighters. She has always used her beautiful appearance and acrobatic skill to her advantage, and this way she gets rich and all the attention she wants. The job was a coincidence, but one that has worked out well.

Outfit:

Miriama's battle outfit is both (somewhat) practical and beautiful. In the arena, as well as being able to fight, you have to have a clear image and brand. Miriama is the beautiful, graceful ice dragon and her outfit embodies this whilst also being a believable fighting outfit. The enhanced claws and ice helmet were Miriama's idea, but the rest of the outfit was made by the staff at the arena for her. I imagine Miriama also has an alternate "fanservice" outfit, an outfit with no practicality but it makes her look very pretty and appealing, made out of a long, flowing white dress. However, this is her staple outfit and the one she wears the most.

As Miriama's whole image is based off of Ice culture and aesthetics, her familiar is an equally sparkly, animate statue of the Icewarden. Though the statue is animated by magic, it isn't that intelligent and basically just follows Miriama around and holds some of her weapons/props. It's more for show than anything else
