Biography

Deep in the Mire, something stirs within the reeds...

Hidden on a peninsula bordering plague and shadow territory, what locals best describe as ‘Swamp Things’ make their home. Little is known about this reclusive Gaoler clan, aside from their appetite and connection to their surroundings. Magic radiates from these beasts like a fog, tainting the land they call home, and its inhabitants.

shadowf1.png Background: Distant from society, these silent conduits had little care for the world beyond their territory up until recently, when they started slowly branching out, tainting the land with their magic as they go. Content to keep to themselves, the lichen colored beasts make little friends, simply observing their surroundings by sitting in the same place for hours, sometimes days, collecting data for their chosen deity.

plaguef2.png Description: Flithy, hulking swaths of hair and weeds often accompanied by the smell of muddy water, these beasts’ manes are often limp and tangle-free, either damp or drying as they sway in the breeze. Unlike the standard gaoler, their antlers are not shed annually, but rather continue to grow over time. Regardless of whether or not they’ve adapted fins, every Thing has webbing between their claws.
