Bm9rB89.gif Kiru's claws pried at the pieces of metal like they were an oyster, spreading the welded seam to get at the wires and gears inside. He was positive that if he could figure out how the little piece of machinery worked, he could duplicate it, make it better. The thin wires nearly split with the pressure of being forced apart like that, and Kiru stopped near immediately. Huh. Plan B then, start from scratch. He lumbered across his workshop, careful not to sweep the counters clear with his tail. He'd spent the day working at this idea, chipping at it from all angles, but it seemed like this would be the best bet- yes, this would work well, he reasoned, lifting a sheet of thin hammered metal that one of his clanmates had salvaged. A clawed hand lifted to flip the tail of his scarf back over his wing, then to fix the goggles he'd perched on his forehead earlier. If it was possible, he could do it! Even if it did take a few tries, and he didn't leave the cave until much too late to show it off to anyone... No matter. Kiru stretched his tail out, then settled down to work.
