Biography
Asterope
Asterope and Bronte were the daughters of some high-end engineers, close to the Stormcatcher Himself. They weren't always close; Asterope, at first, did want to be an engineer, speciafically in products like prothetics. She spent all of her childhood and many teen years studying and working towards this goal. She got along great with her parents as a result, whereas Bronte was much more into fashion, and thus recieved less attention. As a child, she never noticed her sister's neglect, but she eventually saw it and sought to amend it. Their sibling relationship grew exponentially from there, the two working together to make effective and stylish prothetics.
Asterope had never been one for holidays, but Bronte dragged her sister down to a Thundercrack Festival one year. Honestly, it was amazing! The atmsphere was amazing, and it was strange yet refreshing to see dragon who didn't work as engineers, but rather and artisans, craftsmen, or familiar caretakers. She didn't realize how in love with the Carnival she was until the week was over. Since then, she could never focus as much on work as she did before. Asterope wanted to be involved in some way with the holiday. Bronte had nabbed an apprenticeship with a Thundercrack Carnival tailor, and through some connections, got Asterope a volunteer position with the familiars. Asterope would come in an create items to help keep the familiars healthy. She adored it, and soon started spending more and more time at the familiar center instead of at the workshop, much to her parents' dissappointment.
A few years later, Asterope was fired for not showing up to work often enough, and thus took up a full time job working with the familiars and helping them adjust to thier new dragons during the actual holiday. Their parents snapped and disowned the twins for not living up to thier expectations. The two shrugged it off- it'd been a long time since they were on good terms anyways. They decided to head off with the Carnival to travel, and soon landed in the Basalt Heights. The Banescale twins, Agni and Bast, seeing the Lightning twins, invited them to join their new festival organization. Asterope was somewhat hesitant, but Bronte loved the idea! So, Asterope relented, and the two have been around since.
"Goodness, can the Stormcatcher himself even afford this?"
