Biography
Agni
Agni was born alongside the inumerable Banescale hatchlings when the species essurected itself, hatched with his twin brother Bast. Through inexplicable ways- perhaps through their breed's ingrained song? - Bast and Angi knew a little about their parents, despite their parents having perished with the rest of the older Banescale. Their parents were priests to the Flamecaller, blessed with Her colors and spreading Her glorious word. Deep down, they both knew their parents would have wanted the twins to follow in the same path of faith, but the two, despite loving the Flamecaller, simply did not see themselves living out the rest of their lives in a blazing temple.
After a bit of traveling, the two eventually came across Our Lady's Forge, where a Banescale named Story recently came into power. Story took the hatchlings in, giving them a home and an opportunity to learn the trade of blacksmithing. Applying themselves as apprentices, the twins tried it for a short while, but found that stoking the forge wasn't their calling either. The singing of their breed's new generation wasn't their strong suit either, neither blessed with a particularly good voice, so together they continued to search for their purpose, desprate to find a place in life.
And it was during their first Flameforger's Festival that they found it. Bast and Agni were both dedicated to the Fire Flight, which only furhtered their worries when they weren't interested in their flight's usual culture. But the Flameforger's Festival was different. Clans and lairs were lit with flames, dragons from all over traveling to celebrate their flight. The twins had never seen anything so amazing. They wanted to contribute to the festival, bring the joy they felt during it to others. And so, they delved themselves into anything they could involving the festival, organizing acitivites, the decorations, helping with food, anything and everything, they had their snouts in it. When the festival was over, the twins knew they found their calling.
Angi aqcuired a special love for the apparel that the Flameforger's Festival offered. Despite not being able to wear any, he adored the craft of the apparel, and the magic of the non-physical ones. Hoarding a collection of these clothes, he now spends most of his time admiring them or designing his own ideas for apparel. His ultimate goal is to have a Searing Armband and Metalurgists' Forgetools.
"I always respect dragons who wear these! It's a bold but loyal choice to wear these, especially in other flights. I just hope no flight prideful dragons beat you up over it."
"Dragons say it's common to have, but good Flamecaller! My wallet would rather throw itself into the earest lavapool! It's cute, but it is really worth so much...?"
"My personal favorite that the Flameforger's Festival has to offer. I love the shades, so cute and stylish! And you could also pretend you're Thor with that hammer!"
"Wear it as a belt! Wear is as a scarf! Wear it as a headband! Technically only one of those is right, but the only thing stopping you is your morality."
"H-how is this thing making rocks and magma grow on your hide? What?? Dude, are you okay?"
"Sadly not from royalty, I learned that the hard way. But you either wear it cause you're a priviledged member of the Fire Flight, or you're a wannabe."
"I followed them. I regret it. But hey, now I have them! And they're very pretty as well as intimidating! But good luck getting any sleep with this eternal light source."
"Very useful for the blacksmith. A very weird choice for those who aren't. Like, what are you doing? It isn't even pretty looking, it's mostly for utility? But you do you."
"I mean, just like the Iron Plates, if you have it but you aren't a blacksmith what are you doing? At least this is nicer looking and can protect your face from boiling."
"Always respect a dragon with a halo. They've worked hard to earn it, honing their magical skills to reach a top level of skill. Or just they paid Joxar some embers."
"Wearing a kilt is... a choice. Wearing a kilt without a shirt? What kind of monster are you. For real though, this is actually one of the more wearable apparels, and it's very nice! The Fire Flight may mostly make convinent things, but don't underestimate their fashion sense!
"Another respectable piece of apparel, it shows great pride for the Fire Flight! It's a great sign in battle, and good for whacking your enemies with too."
"May the Flamecaller be with the Magmablood Rebellion. This bulky thing is a much nicer and fitting portable forger than the Iron Plates, I highly suggest it! Just don't inhale too much smoke, that's not healthy for you."
"Why are you giving me thi- oh! It's an apparel? ...Okay. I thought it was one of Bast's new friends. Well, from what I've seen, they're pretty easy to maintain! Feed it coal, walk it twice a day- are you sure this isn't a familiar?!"
"I was told by the grapevine that this particular piece was inspired by the Wind Flight. I guess some Wind dragons thought us 'hot-headed' Fire dragons needed to calm down, so they gave us some incense. But, y'know, in typical Fire Flight fashion, we turned something peaceful into stinkin' armor. *Sigh*, this is why we can't have nice things."
"A much more modern version of the Searing Emblem, it is pretty clean and fashionable for any patriotic dragon! I wish I could wear it! ...wait, why do I hear singing and horses."
