-born in fire, grew up in a nature clan, but was always drawn to light for the value it placed on knowledge
-had a brief and secret affair with a pirate named ortez, which resulted in two children--one of whom stayed with her (and thus stayed in the other clan when she left), and one of whom left with her pirate lover
-finally made her way to light's territory and joined the sundrop clan after they moved to the village, becoming partners in study with archivist and kayda in their ever-growing library, which quickly became a second home to saeya
-this new life was disrupted when the clan began to be under siege by a fleet of pirates
-she recognized one of the ships as the one ortez and their son chase had sailed away on, and secretly met up with ortez, telling him everything that was happening in the village thanks to the pirates
-when the trio left, ortez told her that there was beginning to be sympathy among the pirates, which finally prompted her to tell the others about him
-she and ortez began acting as liaisons between the dorne deialga and the village
-they've been working on a plan to secretly deliver goods to the village
