A huddled shape of purple and black swirls constrained within an ornate metal cage, hung from the ceiling in the main cavern. She is placed alongside one other cage, both marked by a sign declaring them Honored Progenitors. Her wing tips appear to be melting away, and her body is rail thin. A pained expression crosses her face but no sound emits from her scarred throat. Sparkling finery drapes from her in contrast with her sickly form. On rare occasions, scraps of rotten meat are thrown into her cage, which she reluctantly devours. Sometimes, she musters up the strength to look into the cage beside her and grip at the bars longingly.

One of two progens from the very beginnings of clan history, although quite removed from it. Her and Stargazer were the first to discover the quiet and secluded cove where clan territory resides. She was initially born under the domain of the Arcanist, though when she decided to build a clan with her childhood friend Stargazer, the two of them felt more inclined to explore outside of their home flight. Along the way they joined up with several dragons whos names are forgotten to history. One notable dragon, however, was named Sangre, whom they met at their final destination, the Sunbeam Ruins. The wandering skydancer grew attached to the ragtag group, and helped them settle into the lands that they would name "Clan Sunpine".

With some relutance on her part, her and Stargazer would choose to exalt themselves under their newly adored deity, the Lightweaver, leaving the blossoming clan to develop on its own. Many years of turmoil and sacrifice came to pass after that, unbeknownst to the progens. Hatchlings were born, many dragons died, the whole area remaining cursed for a small eternity before being resettled by a new group of travelers.

When the clan's power shifted into the hands of blaspheming witches, in outright rejection of the Lightweaver, it angered their god. In retaliation, she returned the progens from their exaltation to spy on the clan, which had heavily shielded itself from her with magic. Their espionage was seen through immediately, and they were captured. Seen as a novelty from the old days, the pair were imprisoned, shifted into nocturnes, their genes altered into captivating swirls, and put on display. Ash's transformation went horribly wrong, her wings and horns partially disintegrating, causing her to experience chronic severe pain, but her vocal cords were cut so she cannot scream.
