 All he ever wanted to do was explore the world, and then the stars, with his mate and their newfound god. He remembers the exhilarating feeling he felt starting anew with his beloved Ash. But his life has culminated within cold steel bars, never to see sunlight again, with a crude mask secured to his head. When he hasn't collapsed from exhaustion, his frail body flings itself into the metal containing him, the rattling of his cage echoing against cavernous cave walls. His throat is torn beyond repair but his maw still gapes as though he were screaming. He reaches out for his mate in desperation but she's been placed just a paw-lengths away in an adjoining cage, forced to watch as her body slowly falls apart. When he dreams he can see the two of them soaring above the clouds together.
I see my demons staring at me now
Invading all of my dreams and I can't get 'em out
No I can't get 'em out
Can't make a f-ing sound
I fight and fight behind these eyes to find a sign of life
