Biography

_______________ 69121049p.png Swallowtail; Swarm-Father
"The insects are swarming, the deities will fall"
_______________ ───────────────────────────────────────
_______________ Origin
Swallowtail was just a little Frost Whisper, trapped and brought to the Arcanist’s lab by his researchers. For several years, the quiet little bug only busied himself with wondering when food would come and what direction to fly. The big loud dragons came every so often with funny-tasting food that made him feel all wiggly inside, but that was hardly noticeable. There were a few Fallout Whispers in his tank, but he didn’t notice them. They were just there, and so was he.
Eventually, another funny food was presented, and the wiggly feeling didn’t stop. He didn’t go back to the tank with the other butterflies, instead being moved to an empty silver cube. In that reflective box, he noticed a dragon staring back at him. When he moved, so did the dragon. When he flapped his wings, so did the dragon. Eventually, he looked down and saw that his tiny legs had become massive claws.
He was a dragon.

Plan
The bug, dubbed ‘Project Swallowtail’, had been developed as a weapon, resistant to all poisons and able to secrete his own highly toxic poison. More and more tests came and went, often carried out by a massive purple dragon with a funny face and more legs than all the others. Over time, he was let outside more and more often, the researchers expecting that he wasn’t smart enough to to fly away. But he did, escaping while his researchers were off preparing some new food for him. He flew and flew until he met another dragon like him, Tasma.
Realizing that she wanted a swarm, and his own insect instincts kicking in to want the same goal, he agreed to travel with her, and eventually father the Swarm she could command. His one condition was that they’d find the purple dragon that caged him, and destroy him. Why not destroy all the deities? Sorineth ruled by a swarm, not a few bumbling giants…
