Most dragons would not think Gul was a professional scavenger, he acts nothing like one and looks nothing like one. He’s as put together as a Spiral can get and remains composed no matter the situation. Yet he is, he’ll shed his formal clothes for something less expensive if he wears clothes at all and dive right into the dirt and scraps. Most would then assume he’s just composed as an act but no, that is indeed his true self. It’s something he doesn’t really talk of but he won’t lie about it, he was the son of nobles. He had been dissatisfied with the lifestyle, feeling they never did anything deserving for their position and that they had no ambition. Even so they would force him to sit as still as possible and cram knowledge into his head as if he was a living encyclopedia. He hated it. The exact how’s and happenings of how he came to be a scavenger are something he doesn’t speak of but he will gain this nostalgic look in his eyes when he thinks back on it. He’s a shrewd dragon and can go from mischievous to serious as easy as flipping a switch. This often disarms his opponents and he is very good at taking advantage of that. He’s also a genius when it comes to estimating the use and value of scrap, he’ll hoard anything he think can be of use and more often than not he’ll come across someone who knows how to make something out of the parts or is in need of the parts themselves. He has the peculiar habit of calling things and living beings by other names, he only gets it right if he really likes it or you. That is not the best guide to his thoughts however, due to being a scrapyard noble his perceptions are skewed and he can call one thing a diamond while meaning a useless pretty rock, but call something else a piece of trash yet mean a hidden treasure and depending on the time of day it’s the complete opposite. |
