They say if you look up at the night sky while on one of the many floating islands of Hoverview Vale, you can see a rather interesting cluster of stars. Not only are they brighter than any other star in the sky, they seem to change color too. Some even say their size changes from time, if only slightly...

On closer inspection, however, an astronomer can easily discover this cluster's true nature: They're the lights of a floating landmass, one far higher up than even the highest islands of the Starfall Isles. They call it the Supernova Epicenter, an ever-expanding town in the sky led by a family of Imperial dragons. Galacta and Stella, two literal and figurative star-crossed lovers, now united at the thrones of their office, where they oversee their little town's most prominent affairs. The two have ruled over for several decades, but that may finally be challenged with the decline of Galacta's health in more recent years. Should he pass on, it's been decided that his son would take his place...

But what if the heir didn't want the responsibility of ruling a micronation? What if he didn't want dozens of eyes watching his every move?

That was the case with Sterling. A sheltered and shy dragon with high expectations placed onto him since youth, he didn't think he could handle the stress that'd come with managing the lives of so many. His father disagreed, however, and continued to push for Sterling to take his place, creating a rift in their relationship. His mother tried to quell the tension between them, but none of her efforts seemed to help that much. To Sterling, he saw her as an complacent to her spouse's demands, driving a wedge in their relationship as well. No matter what he did, his father insisted that he'd take over as ruler, which one day, drove Sterling to run away.

For a while, Sterling traveled around the Starfall Isles, too afraid to cross the Plaguebringer's domain, trying to evade his parents and their sizable connections. His paranoia concerning being found- a trait that made it nigh-impossible for him to trust anyone- led to him being on the move almost constantly, until he ventured deep into the Starwood Strand. Here he'd come across Morgana on a trip to gather some local herbs, who offered him a place to stay. His time at the clan was to initially be temporary, only until he felt ready to make another venture, but he too soon learned of and became infatuated with their ultimate goal. A place where he could be free from his father's expectations, a place where he could choose his own destiny, he longed for a place like that. Thus, after a private discussion with Morganite, where she revealed that she knew nothing about Galacta- let alone the Supernova Epicenter- he decided to join the clan, as long as they kept his whereabouts a secret.

Currently, he assists Grimm in managing the Multiversal Rift.
