Miles

Miles is the guard for Pyra and Pedon. He normally accompanies them only outside of the lair, and while not as strong as some of the other fighters in the clan, he is slowly practicing his skills. The love of his life, Salus, is mute, and he tries to be with her as much as possible in order to translate.

Miles is normal-sized, but his wings are big. He likes to have them preened by Salus.

He can't help to notice how stiff his body from the crystals. He pants, chasing down the mirror pack snapping and slashing at his charges. Pedon is constricted by those strange fibers, and squeals when a mirror nicks his tail. He ignores the steady drips of blood from his mangled tail, and musters all his might to head off the pack until Pyra and Pedon can escape back to the lair. They are close now, and he can spot familiar rocks and lava pools....
....When Talia and Rezi come to fend off the rest of the mirror pack, thunderous roars echoing through the wastes, he is covered in blood. His tail hangs mangled and limp, his hide gapes hideously, exposing muscles. He has defended his leaders' escape.
