The Stellar faction needed a warrior. Hyades was made to fill that void.

Despite being born in a distant clan, Hyades was brought back to the Prime Cluster as a hatchling by his grandfather, Quentin. Though unassuming in his youth, he quickly rose to strength as he grew older, his Cosmic heritage showing in his sharp-witted wisdom beyond his years. Yet, as the faction began to attract unwanted attention from the stars, it became evident that the dragons within were in danger of being injured by otherworldly forces. So, Hyades decided to pursue the path of a warrior.

Little was known about fighting in the faction, as most Cosmic creatures chose a lifetime of knowledge and prophesy over bloodshed. In his efforts, Hyades decided to take a risk and venture outside of his family's territory in search of a dragon who would mentor him. Most of the other factions, despite being under the jurisdiction of Stellar, refused his propositions under the pretenses of avoiding celestial consequences. Some even dragged him out by his neck spines, most notably clans containing high numbers of Gaolers. In the end, Hyades resorted to journeying far beyond the known lands, in the hopes of finding someone who would heed his wishes.

After months of treacherous travels, he stumbled upon a wandering samurai - at first the reception was lukewarm, but after hearing the Ridgeback's woes, the pearly Skydancer decided to accept. The samurai, going by the name Astridr, trained the young dragon to exhaustion each day, mentoring him not only in the ways of combat but also in nobility. Over time, he grew to be a formidable fighter, and one day the Skydancer left without a trace, leaving nothing but a elegant parchment behind with a few words written in ink.

'Fight with valor, honor, and discipline.
You were my first student, and you will be my last.
But I regret not my choice to teach you.
For you have taught me much about myself, too.'

Returning home, Hyades was ready to take his place as a warrior to Stellar nobility, most notably Queen Efrite, who was often out on her own among the Twilight Woods. While shadowing her, he was inspired by Astridr's kindness to mentor others in his clan, and found a student in a young Andromeda. Passing on the lessons he learned, he insured that the next generation of defenders would be virtuous, honorable and successful.
