Onoma

First Interaction:
You see a Veilspun flying around a large bloom, his wings humming softly as they beat too quickly to see clearly.

Onoma lifts something up. He pours the jar onto the flower, and a cascade of glitter spirals downward and lands gently across the flower. The glimmering substance immediately soaks into the petals and vanishes from view. The bloom grows even bigger than before, pulsating with a yellow glow before changing back into its normal prismatic colors.

Mate: Oscura

Onoma is incredibly sweet, and he is very joyous and optimistic. He is actually an evergreen fairy, and he has powerful magic. He came to the Province after Rose visited his original clan. He really liked her and asked if he could return with her back to her home. She talked it over with his parents and they agreed. Shortly after, Rose adopted him and took him back to the Province, much to everyone's surprise. Meringue was overjoyed, as most of the couple's own children had either moved to a far distance or passed away. Onoma loves to bake foods, and they are some of the most delicious meals around. Even the pickiest critic will absolutely love his meals, especially considering the fact that they are magical. His food automatically adjusts to suit the tastes of whoever eats it. He likes giving away free meal baskets to anyone in need.

Onoma had never seen a spider fairy until he met Oscura. So when she opened up her maw, revealing hundreds of needle-pointed teeth, and hissed in a loud, terrible shriek, he was so terrified that he nearly wet himself before fleeing out of the woods in absolute horror. After a few days, curiosity brought him back, though he was definitely more cautious this time. He saw Oscura perched in the corner of her web, deathly silent and still. He did not approach her this time though, and he left the forest again. His third journey gave him enough courage to try a fresh encounter with the somewhat primitive Veilspun. This time she was eerily quiet and observed him sadly. He was very confused about the whole situation, and the mystery made him want to learn about the spider fairies. He travelled to the forest for a long time, studying Oscura and the other spider fairies that lived there. After spending so much time around her, he began to develop feelings for Oscura. Soon, he learned that she had fallen in love with him as well, ever since the day they first met. Hissing was actually a friendly greeting to the native spider fairies, and they used it to impress their lovers. The more creepy and loud the call, the better--most of the time. Onoma confessed his love with the best hiss he could muster, then, after Oscura happily accepted, brought her back home and married her. The couple is extremely close and love each other dearly. Onoma is devoted to his family, and he always spends time around them. Everyone seems to be more cheerful when he comes around.

Onoma loves nature and likes to spend time outside. He appreciates all of the flourishing plant life found in the area, and he likes spending time with the native nature dragons as well. Besides nature, he is also drawn toward the water and ice elements. He loves to swim.

Oscura Woodwicker Veilwidow Vanillafrost

WIP notes: She is a spider fairy. She lives in a patch of extremely dark woods. She makes her own thread with the thorns on her body. She makes extremely large, creepy webs. Introvert. Stays away from most. Courageous. Sweet and loving to family but tough and scary around others. Eerie figure frightens dragons, even if she is much smaller than them. Loves books, absolutely fascinated by them.

First Interaction:
You spot a nearby Veilspun under a tree in the shade. The shadow she is sitting in seems darker than the surrounding ones for some reason.
Oscura watches you warily.
Mate:[/b] Onoma
Job: She works as a weaver.
Oscura was immediately enamored by Onoma when she first found him in her forest. As was custom to the spider fairies, she gave him the most terrifying hiss that she could make. As soon as the hapless evergreen fairy saw her gaping mouth with its hundreds of needle-like teeth, however, he shot out of the woods as fast as his wings and feet could carry him. Heartbroken, Oscura moped around her web, refusing to venture out unless absolutely necessary. To the spider fairy's surprise, Onoma returned again after some time. He continued to visit, trying to study the natives and learn about their culture. Soon, he returned Oscura's affection by hissing back, and she followed him to the Province so they could get married. Onoma's original determination to learn more about her made Oscura just as eager to learn about him and his home, and she wasted no time getting to work. Onoma showed her everything, and he was the one to first introduce her to books. She learned quickly and was instantly accepted into the Gladeshadow society. Even though she has learned much about them, she still stays away from most residents and prefers to spend time with her lover more than anyone else.

Oscura, being a spider fairy, never really knew about the elements until she met Onoma. Because the sun burns her skin, she has always loved the darkness, and she still prefers shadows over other things. She greatly respects shadow dragons.
