-Not blatantly discarded or destroyed by Project when newer models were crafted, but maintenance and certain safety protocols had corners cut to get the most out of him until he stopped working and could be replaced
-Sneaks out of the facility amongst other mechanical refuse, his corroded frame disguising him until he can escape
-The discarded materials had been shipped to a facility in Fire territory to be melted down and reworked. He travels out of Fire and into Lightning where he is found by Tektite
-His claws have retractable, needle-like extensions that can serve as soldering irons or manipulate delicate circuitry
-One thing he's particularly insistent about is not receiving any sort of upgrades. Maintenance and repairs, yes, but he's very adamant about proving that he's good enough as-is
