The Master

"It was just a joke but it stuck to me."

The Guardian opened his eyes but the desert seared them close. Where was he? How did he get here? Who was he? He shook his side to side, his leathery wings flapping the dust that clung evasively, off. His name was 'kim'. Plain and ordinary and without authority. Hell, the name wasn't even capitalized.

kim supposed he might as well start a clan with Zybil. Despite her delicate looks, she was more than a warrior than he was. Their hatchlings were bound to serve their Boss for their inheritance of skills.

He and Zybil handed their authority to their firstborn and daughter, Attolix, who seemed to inherit their best qualities along with making her own. He only hoped that the power doesn't go over her head. Otherwise, they could retire peacefully.
