Blizzard

Blizzard traveled the world, searching for lost or obscure information. Cataloging it and studying species with a quiet and careful tactic like no other could, observing creatures, beast clan and even hidden dragons that one on else could eve begin to approach. It was a peaceful if slightly dangerous life, and he loved it. He was starting to get up in years, his pearl he couldn’t carry in a paw, he had it in a satchel beside his bag that held his precious research.

It was when he was tracking a very elusive and undocumented variant of owlcat… he’d just spotted one when his ear flicked at a screech he wasn’t prepared for in the least as he turned to see the blur of red before feeling a piercing burst of pain in his neck. It faded quick as in a fight or flight responce he swiped at the attacking thing. He saw blood as he dislodged it but it was so fast and slipped from his claws and yet another burning bite now joined with raking claws latched onto his neck again as he cried out and clawed at them once more.

Breathing was getting hard when he threw it off and he could se a veilspun quickly bite and tear into the top of his tail. He still was in the fight response, he turned and tried to bite the dragon off his twin to no avail. He bit his own tail further down than the veilspun was as he was getting dizzy. He let go at the stabbing pain that unlike the vielspun’s attacks the pain didn’t quickly vanish. One last time as he was turned so close the small dragon lurched for his neck…

The pearl catcher collapsed, the vampiric poison taking its toll. He shivered as his whole body was going as numb as the bites had gotten just as he heard the Veil calm down and let go of him…
