The adopted daughter of Masque and Eldritch, Apira took on the bubbly attitude and energy of one of her mothers, Eldritch. It is often said Apira is a little clone of Eldritch, but with Masque's stern and dutiful parenting, she has grown up without some of the more childish aspects of her attitude. Things call to her from every direction--the desire to emulate her mothers, but explore her roots back on the Windswept Plateau, and Apira finds herself overwhelmed by all the life she has yet to experience.

While scavenging for resources on the edge of the Windswept Plateau, that day's scavenger party returned with an egg they had found, apparently having rolled away from wherever its nest was. Masque, one of the day's party members, attempted to explore deeper into Wind territory to find where the egg had been lost from, but the Wind dragons she attempted to ask all ran from her and her fellow Plague dragons in fear. With no leads left and the sun lowering in the sky, the party had no choice but to return north to their home and bring the lost egg with them. While there was some debate about what to do with it when they presented it to the rest of the clan, Eldritch was the first to pipe up, excitedly reminding the group of the clan's motto to be a haven for the abandoned, and arguing that because of that, the egg should be raised with them--and she would be the one to do it. That egg hatched into Apira, the Mirror who grew up following in the footsteps of both of her mothers, though still unsure where she belonged, with the thought of the home she had lost always on her mind.
