Main Theme: Crystal Dragons

______ As Inyenyeri looked at the pink-blue crystals around him, he wondered if he could harvest them like Mentaiko could. Reaching a talon out to one, he plucked the crystal straight from the rock. As he marveled at the colors, he didn't realize the crystal was spreading onto his scales. Eventually, he noticed his talons were shaking. He realized... The crystal had spread onto him. Nobody heard his shrieks of pain and terror till many hours later.
He woke up on a leaf bed, many dragons standing before him. Artemis clutched her pearl close, her blindfold lifted so he could see her eyes and face clearly. They were twisted with worry, but why? He lifted his head, looking at his body before he gasped. The same crystal he had discovered was on his body, bound to his scales. The once constellation of stars on his tail became a swirl of purples, with separated purple gems that replaced the scales on his back. Yellow crystals protruded from where the pink-blue crystals had bound themselves to his body. It took a long time to get used to, to say the least.

______ Many years later, Inyenyeri sighed, unable to think of an idea to write about. There was nothing interesting going on in the clan recently, other than hatchlings. He then thought about the crystal he had discovered many years ago and how it had bound itself to his body. It was odd, he never came up with a name for it. He looked at the crystal upon his back, deciding a name for it in his mind, and began writing.
