Slice opened his eyes. He was floating; floating in a void. It was quiet, calm. This was preforming better than Slice thought it would go. The important thing is the spell worked. Slice heard a voice, a voice so loud yet silent, a lion's roar but a mouse's squeak. It offered him power, a power to prove the deities were wrong, a power of annihilation and of oblivion.
This is what Slice had been waiting for. These were the shadows he saw in his dreams. Yet something was holding him back. It was Paradise, wasn't it? But Paradise was a nothing to him now. That dragon was nothing, wasn't he? Slice was ready. It was time to let go of his impurities. It was time for him to become part of the swarm. And with that, it was done.
Now he is part of the swarm. Or perhaps, as one might say, the swarm is him. Slice's mind is blank. He has surrendered it to the swarm's control. The swarm will control all.
