An extension of an infection which had latched onto Philip, Clarence is a former member of a hivemind and is absolutely incensed that he's now not only an individual, but one trapped in the mind of a human. He has little ability to interact with the world, but is shown to cause his host to hallucinate, as well as call out to other members of his kind. Though at first he was purely antagonistic, he later pleads to share control of the body when Philip threatens to get rid of him.
