Drawn by his curiosity to the depths of a Greenland, an otherwise completely ordinary physics professor finds himself trapped at the bottom of an abandoned mine after disobeying the wishes of his dead father. Philip is curious and driven, shown by his spur of the moment desire to investigate the cryptic letters he was left, and him forging his way through the mines, even when it becomes apparent that there are odd forces at work.
