Karne is the result of the unforgiving nature of the Southern Icefields ; living a life of constant battle, either against the elements or other clans. Resources were sparce, and only the strongest & smartest survived.

He is an emotionally distant man, and struggles to connect with his peers. Even when he cares deeply for, Karne struggles to show it in ways outside of protection on the battlefield.

Karne projects the image of a pure warrior, an unthinking machine of death. But, in truth, they're the primary strategic mind within the Flowing Red. They also spend much of their free time playing chess- or, rather, they would, if they were able to find someone who might provide a suitable challenge. Such an individual has yet to be found.
