The Clandestine Alliance is a Lair made up of several families, with shared values and goals, regardless of Flight or past ; though they join together under the Arcane, for they honor the discovery & the mind most of all. To them, understanding is a divine gift ; and a powerful tool.

The secretive society is described by outsiders as "educated scavengers" ; as they excavate, explore, and archive any ruins they can find. Each part of their lair is as much a museum-like display as a home. Individuals can be identified by their specific interest with as much ease as one is identified by a name ; each a living archive of information.

Among their customs, the most important are face and head coverings/decorations - of which can come in forms varying from cakey makeup, floppy hats & hoods, and ornate masks. They are a symbol of the Clandestine's value of secrecy and the importance of introspection- as the masks are meant to both hide the dragon while also expressing themselves.

The symbolic elements of the masks are often individual, shared motifs often being a direct reference to one another. Not only is the look of the mask a part of it's meaning, but the use of it as well ; a mask being used as armor, decoratively, religiously, or for any other reason can completely change what it means to it's dragon.

I love the lore on Morana. My Haven has a similar lore except she was born a spiral and became a ridgeback because she wanted to be the same breed as her father, but when she became a ridgeback, she became terrible at flying because she still tries to fly like a spiral.
