- He aids her in carrying darted Mercies back to the Pox Consulate
- She didn't neutralize him
- She offers to reconnect him to Plague at least once a week; he vehemently refuses, thinking that her continual offers are likely not for his benefit but for hers
- He neither approves nor disapproves of her work in general. She is his Master; he is her Servus. That is the way things are.

She was looking at him. That usually meant he had displeased her. "Have I done wrong?"
"Not at all," she said. She continued to stare at him, frowning. "Have I used your shards before?"
"My shards?" He had difficulty remembering, sometimes, but this he knew had not happened. "No, my Mancer."
"Hmm. You, um, are aware that your flesh is toxic?"
"I am." He wondered where she was going with this.
"I'm running out of poison for my arrows. I need to brew some more. I usually use the shed scales of a Neutralized Ghoul, but with your shards...and fur..."
"I offer them for your service, my Mancer."
"Hmm."
