Famine

He flits into lairs, silent as a shadow. A slip of a thing. You can clearly see each rib, each vertebrae. A gaunt, skeletal face. Beneath his bones lies the swirling void of hunger.

Dragon and beastclan alike fear him. "Dark times come on darkened wings," they warn their younglings. "Famine stalks us all."

Abandoned lairs, full of hungry dragons. The forgotten; the lonely; the hungry. Famine claims them, one by one.

Foragers return empty handed. Hunters find no prey. Even the grubs are scarce. Famine's shadow looms overhead.

As the hunger pangs grow sharper, as dragons grow thin and weary, Famine waits.

He is patient. He knows his mark is always true.

And when the time comes, he watches as those he has touched slip away. One by one they succumb to Famine.

His sister, Death, takes them into her arms...but it was Famine who claimed them.
