P E R S O N A L I T Y

Naamah is the oldest of three, and the daughter of a very high-achieving mother, therefor she held herself in high responsibility as a hatchling. She was expected to become a member of the Aerie as the best of Skydancers did, or to become a widely esteemed scholar, like her father. In the very least, everyone expected Naamah to train under the great battler, Carmela. But she didn't want these things.

As soon as she was old enough to make her own choices, Naamah started working at the Riverside Inn. She knew she didn't want to become like her mother or her father, but she also didn't know what she did want. So each night she would listen to the stories told by travelers from all around, and listen to see if there was something she would be interested in. There was nothing, and the Skydancer became tired with her pursuit.

To add to her troubles, both Naamah's younger siblings were becoming worse and worse off. Nava had eventually run away out of her desperation to cure her depression, and her younger brother Nadav wouldn't leave his room. She felt guilty about not having been there to support her siblings, and especially about Nava, because if she had tried harder, she could've stopped her from running away.

And then a wonderfully terrible thing happened. Nadav met another Skydancer, and the two were the true love story you read about in storybooks. They were in love, as plain as day, and though she was happy to see her brother happy and fulfilled with a purpose, Naamah saw her own emptiness in a reflection of his joy. Her sister came by for a visit, looking satisfied with herself and the world. She was cured of her depression, and had made friends along the way. Naamah couldn't see why she couldn't find happiness herself, and specifically, true love, when her whole family and especially her parents had made it look so easy.
