Aarin

A ranger from the lands of the Gladekeeper. Aarin is a survivalist who's used to being away from civilisation for weeks on end. She hunts in order to acquire pelts and other animal products, which she trades for items she needs.

Aarin is self sufficient, but likes to spend time with her mate Zilharr and her brother whenever he visits his home. Zilharr is an archaeologist gaoler who studies the parts of history most dragons would like to forget. Besides finding the darker side of history interesting, she deems it important to learn from instead of trying to bury it. Aarin agrees with her stance, but has noticed that Zilharr makes a lot of enemies through her work, which worries her.

Recently, Aarin has had to follow Zilharr to Dragonhome after the gaoler got into a spot of trouble. Zilharr needs to clear her name and reputation and has decided to do so by investigating some truly strange ruins that are rumoured to be cursed. Aarin is out of her depth in the inhospitable desert and has trouble adjusting to the change, but doesn't want to acknowledge this. She thinks she'll be seen as weak if she despairs or succombs, but her mate has taken notice.

Aarin now lives within the tunnels of the small community of dragons and beastclan that have settled near the ruins. She was happy to receive her brother when he decided to visit and stay on Zilharr's request. Having a familiar face around who understands the difficulties of living somewhere so strange and hostile compared to the lush jungle has helped her deal with her situation.
